You’ll hear it many times over going into your own wedding from friends and family that have been there before: just try and enjoy it and slow down where you can, because otherwise it is a total blur of emotion.

That is why it can be such a great idea, and one that is becoming more and more popular of late, to host another celebration the day after. By that point the emotions and the whirlwind will have slowed down somewhat, allowing you to actually take in and cherish the day – including your extra special catered meal from Hog Roast Colchester!
This is what our featured customer of the week, Frances, did for their own wedding, taking the day after to enjoy a ‘quieter’ celebration amongst 70 of their friends and family. With the stress and the nerves of the wedding day now behind, the celebrations could begin in earnest, and head chef Julian and the Hog Roast Colchester team were on hand to help bring the special day forward one more!
It may be the day after the special one, but that doesn’t mean your wedding meal becomes any less so. Hog Roast Colchester prepared an excellent hog roast dining meal, complete with the full signature spectacle as well as all the tasty trimmings. Sage and onion stuffing, crispy golden crackling, apple sauce, all bringing out even more flavour and texture from our namesake roast. Guests could then also indulge in further sides of mixed salad, creamy slaw, tomato and mozzarella salad, regular and sweet potato fries, and veggie alternative of grilled veg and halloumi skewers with sweet chilli sauce and tzatziki dip.
As we said, no less special, even when enjoyed the day after your wedding!
