As a caterer it is the Hog Roast Aldham team’s job to ensure that the customer gets everything they need and want well catered to them, in both senses of the word. We’re there to cater delicious roasted foods, but the term catering also applies to how we are responding to the needs and wants of the customer. We are catering to the needs of their event just as much as we are actually catering foods.
In our many decades of serving we have found that the only way to truly cater to a customer’s needs is to actually get to know them ahead of time. When a customer approaches Hog Roast Aldham our admin team and our chefs try and have a good bit of discussion with them so that we can 1) ascertain the details of the event, but also 2) just generally get to know the customer and feel out exactly what they might like best for their event. In many cases a customer has an idea of the kind of dining they may like for their event, but in digging a little deeper the Hog Roast Aldham team are also able to find a couple added avenues, dishes, services, that they would like too but just had not thought of. This leads to a better experience for everyone on the day as we can deliver a taste and service experience that blows the customer’s expectations out of the water.
For example, just recently we had a wedding to cater in which we had spoken to the happy couple over a couple of months. In that time we had gotten to them quite well and found out that there were particularly fond of their sauces. So what did the Hog Roast Aldham team do? Come the day of their wedding we made sure we were very well stocked with our Sauce Shop sauces, taking along a whopping 16 sauces along just to satisfy their cravings. It’s a small thing, but on your special day even something like that can go a long way to making the day even more perfect – all without the customer ever thinking that that is what they were wanting when they first came to Hog Roast Aldham!
