The World Cup Final is so much more than just a standard match day watch, everything needs to feel a little bigger and that includes the food for your watch party. Whilst crisps and dips may be perfect for a regular match, the final deserves something a little extra and memorable. If you’re hosting a watch party this year to celebrate the end of the world cup, why not try something a little different and create an experience your guests will be talking about for another 4 years and that is exactly where Hog Roast Basildon comes in.
Hog Roast catering is an event within itself, from the moment guests arrive, guests will be hit with the aroma of a whole roasted pig being slow roasted on site long before the game kicks off. It’s a freshly prepared feast that will have something for even the pickiest of your guests, turning your gathering into something memorable and bringing the people you value most together.
One of the biggest advantages of choosing catering provided by our Hog Roast Basildon team, for your World Cup Final party is the flexibility of our bespoke menus. No two parties are the same, so neither should your catering. Whether you’re hosting for meat lovers or need to cater for vegetarian and vegan guests, bespoke menu options mean everyone can enjoy the occasion, no matter what their dietary requirements may be.
There are a variety of menus that could fit your theme or venue type, for example our BBQ menu would elevate a summer garden watch party, whereas our classic hog roast menu would pair perfectly with an indoor hired space. Our services can be scaled up or down to suit if you are hosting for just you and your family or if you’re hosting for the whole neighbourhood. It’s all about balance, variety and making sure every guest leaves happy and full!
With Hog Roast Basildon, you’re not just serving food, you’re elevating your event. It’s about creating an experience that matches the scale of the World Cup Final, where tasty food, valuable company, and great football come together seamlessly.
So, if you’re planning to host, skip the standard party snacks and go for something that effortlessly delivers. After all, the biggest game in the world deserves a menu to match.
chievements deserve to be celebrated and there’s no better way to do this than with an awards night to bring a club together. We were recently proud to be a part of the Rugby Awards evening at Pinner Rugby Football Club, it was the perfect way to celebrate the season with teammates, loved ones and delicious food to go alongside everything. With 40 guests in attendance and a lively evening atmosphere, it was the perfect setting for great food, great company, and well deserved recognition. And of course, Hog Roast Pinner was on hand to make sure the catering matched the occasion.
At 7pm on April 10th, guests began arriving to toast the season’s achievements. We quickly realised that spirits were high as players, coaches and supporters were sharing stories and competitive memories from the pitch. To match the relaxed and sociable feel of the night, our team at Hog Roast Pinner provided a buffet style setup, allowing guests to eat at their own pace while enjoying the celebrations. This meant that all guests could enjoy the food on offer and not have to worry about missing out on any of the laughs or awards to be collected.
As always the centerpiece of the evening didn’t disappoint, as the players were getting ready for their special night, our team was hard at work, slowly roasting the pig on sight until the meat was tender and the crackling was crisp. Guests could load up their plate with traditional favourites such as flavoursome sage and onion stuffing or apple sauce, as well as fresh bread rolls or wraps which were also gluten free on request. Ideal after a long season of rugby, guests could build their perfect hearty meal with a variety of sides, which perfectly complemented the meat from tomato and mozzarella salad, crispy mixed salad and classic coleslaw to the all important carb option, which was either freshly made chips and sweet potato fries, served with a selection of sauces, salt, and vinegar.
It wouldn’t be a true Hog Roast Pinner event without making sure every guest had something to enjoy. Alongside the hog roast, we offered delicious homemade vegetarian and vegan options, such as grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, served with wraps, tzatziki and a sweet chilli sauce. Alternatively, for something a bit heartier, we had vegan pulled jackfruit, served in a bun and steeped in a rich hickory BBQ sauce. Both options proved very popular, offering bold flavours and satisfying alternatives that were just as tasty as the main roast.
Our catering managers Kirsty and Julian ensured that all guests were catered for and that our service remained seamless and professional. The food was served buffet style on disposable crockery, this was the perfect way to enjoy our hog roast at an event like this as it allowed all guests to mingle and keep the focus on celebrating the club’s achievements.
Events like this are what Hog Roast Pinner does best, bringing people together over delicious food in a way that feels effortless and enjoyable. The combination of a hearty hog roast, crowd pleasing sides, and inclusive menu options made it the ideal choice for a rugby awards night. As the evening went on and the awards were handed out, it was clear this was more than just a meal, it was a celebration of teamwork, dedication, and community and we were more than honoured to be able to be a part of it.
