Midday Done Differently: A Hog Roast Letchworth Garden City put on a Staff Lunch for Aalberts

Hog Roast LetchworthWe were honoured to be a part of a special staff lunch for the team at Aalberts Surface Technologies on this Monday. When you’re feeding a team during the working day, the food needs to be filling, easy to serve, and suitable for everyone. That’s exactly what we’re delivering at Hog Roast Letchworth Garden City.

Long before the guests began filling their plates at 1pm, our team was prepping the feast, slow roasting the main event on site for hours until the meat was falling apart and the crackling was perfectly crisp. At the centre of the buffet was, of course, a whole roasted pig. Alongside it, there was sweet apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing, the classics that people expect and enjoy. Everything will be carved and served buffet style, so staff can choose exactly what they’d like. It keeps things moving smoothly and gives everyone flexibility. To build their plates, guests can choose from a selection of bread rolls and wraps, with gluten free rolls available on request. Whether someone wants a full roll packed with pork and crackling or prefers a lighter wrap, there was an option Hog Roast Letchworthready.

Here at Hog Roast Letchworth Garden City we know no roast is complete without a delicious side. Within the lunch we provided: a fresh tomato and mozzarella salad, mixed leafy salad and creamy coleslaw. These lighter sides kept things balanced alongside the hearty meat and traditional trimmings. For the potato option, the team could choose between herb dressed new potatoes or freshly made chips, sweet potato fries, or even a mixture of both. These were served with a selection of sauces, plus salt and vinegar, so everyone can season things just how they like.

Just like with any one of our events, all dietary requirements were considered for the deserving staff at Aalberts Surface Technologies, for their vegan and vegetarian guests we provided: grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers (without halloumi for the vegan option), served with wraps, fresh tzatziki dip and lightly spiced sweet chilli sauce. The meat free guests could also opt for a hearty option, we were serving up multiple portions of our vegan pulled jackfruit served in a bun, drizzled in hickory BBQ sauce.

All of the food was served buffet style onto wooden disposable crockery and cutlery. It kept things practical for a workplace setting and made clearing up straightforward once everyone has finished. For corporate lunches like this one, it’s all about providing food that’s generous, organised, and ready on time. At Hog Roast Letchworth Garden City, we handle the setup, service, and pack down so the team could take a moment away from their desks and enjoy a proper lunch together.

We really enjoyed serving 35 hungry guests and making sure their Monday afternoon started well fed. So, If you’re organising a staff lunch or workplace event in the area, Hog Roast Letchworth Garden City is ready to help you put together a menu that works for your team.
