On Saturday 9th August 2025, our Hog Roast Braintree team had the pleasure of catering a truly special occasion – Maggie’s birthday celebration at her lovely home. With the summer sunshine, a beautifully decorated garden, and the smell of slow-roasted pork in the air, it was the perfect recipe for a relaxed and delicious evening.
Our Catering Manager, Julian, arrived early to set up, ensuring everything was ready for the 5:00pm serving time. The star of the show was our succulent Hog Roast – cooked to perfection, carved fresh, and served in soft bread rolls, including gluten-free options. Paired with our signature apple sauce and savoury stuffing, it was a true crowd-pleaser that had guests commenting how good it was.
At Hog Roast Braintree, we make sure every guest can enjoy the celebration, so we also served our vibrant Grilled Vegetable and Halloumi Skewers – a fresh, colourful, and flavour-packed choice that was a hit among vegetarians and meat-lovers alike.
To complete the menu, guests enjoyed crisp Mixed Salad and creamy Coleslaw, perfectly balancing the richness of the roast. Everything was served on stylish eco-friendly bamboo crockery with matching cutlery – the ideal choice for a garden party that’s both elegant and sustainable.
As the evening unfolded, Maggie’s garden came alive with laughter, chatter, and the clinking of glasses. Guests relaxed in the sunshine or gathered in cosy seating areas, tucking into their plates a
nd savouring every bite. Many commented on how tender and flavoursome the pork was – a signature hallmark of Hog Roast Braintree’s slow-roasting process.
