There is always something special and exciting about a surprise party, the anticipation to the moment of realisation and the laughter that follows. Hog Roast Hivenhoe ensured that this was achieved this weekend on October 11th with a serve time of 8pm, when 100 guests gathered to create a birthday to
remember for our guest of honour.
The celebration began with great company and even better food which continued well into the autumn evening. Taking care of the evening were our experienced Hog Roast Hivenhoe team, led by Julian and Kirsty, focusing on smooth and professional service.
Always a favourite at big events, the menu was centred around our signature whole roasted pig, slow cooked well before the guests arrived. This was served up alongside freshly prepared mixed salad and crunchy coleslaw. Ensuring all guests were catered for, we offered gluten free bread rolls/wraps as well as grilled halloumi and vegetable skewers for our vegetarian/vegan guests. Everything was served up on bamboo crockery, keeping the atmosphere relaxed and stress-free.
The buffet-style service meant that guests could help themselves to as many portions as they desired, mingle and enjoy the evening at their own pace. The cricket club was the perfect venue for this type of event, with plenty of space for friends and family to share stories and catch up, love and laughter was shared and memories were created, which all guests will be reminiscing on for years to come.
Events like this remind us of how simple pleasures like good food and company can create so much joy and created a birthday to remember for our main guest. Thanks to our team at Hog Roast Wivenhoe, one part of the evening our hosts didn’t need to worry about was the catering, which was appreciated by everyone involved with every bite.
