We have been saying often enough that the winter is over and spring is officially clear, but now with the sudden steep rise in temperatures and the breaks in spring heat records over the last few weeks that proclamation appears to finally be absolutely true. Spring is here, but the heat has come on far more than even we had hoped for expected at Hog Roast Fingringhow.
As a caterer, that summery weather comes a double-edged sword in some ways. We always want the best for our events, and it is just a fact that nicer weather just tends to bring more out of a special occasion. It also often brings more out of our dining as we are then more able to show off the full spectacle of our signature hog roast as it cooks in its authentic spit style out in the glorious sunshine.
But then on the other side the sun and the heat also brings it challenges for us as a caterer. Our Hog Roast Fingringhow chefs and servers have to be mindful of what the heat can do to our foods. Some dishes can quickly be spoiled if left under the intensive summer heat for too long, which of course ruins our whole ethos of quality fresh dining. We also have to be mindful of the effect that the heat can have on guests, too. We always want our dining to be safe here at Hog Roast Fingringhow, and we take many steps toward ensuring that it so. When it comes to the intensive summer heats, we have to make sure we are doing our part as a caterer to keep guests cool. That means supplying plenty of water when the need calls, and offering shade under our marquee serving tents so that guests can still dine in cool comfort.
Those marquee tents are also there to protect our foods. We prep and cook everything fresh on site, pushing it out for service just about right away as close as we can to the dish being finished. That helps to diminish the time that food has to sit out and potentially be spoiled. Keeping it covered and cooled also reduces the food being spoiled, ensuring always that, with Hog Roast Fingringhow, you are always getting each dish at its absolute fresh best!
