The Easter weekend kicked off with Good Friday, and for those that celebrate religiously that comes with a few extra traditions that our catering here at Hog Roast Earls can help to keep up with.
When you have a four-day weekend it only makes sense to celebrate with an event with friends and family. Hog Roast Earls were overjoyed to help take many of our customers into the weekend’s celebrations. But, of course, when it comes to Good Friday traditionally you are not supposed to eat meat for the day. That spells a little bit of an issue when you are a caterer literally named after a pork roast, but let it never be said that Hog Roast Earls are not flexible and well varied in our menus and services.
Instead of meat, on Good Friday it is tradition to have fish. As a British caterer, we know that the very best thing to go with fish is, of course, chips! So, for many of our Good Friday events last week we were happy to cater an excellent fish and chip supper for our customers. Fish and chips is not something you typically see our chefs serving at events, but in our canapes selection we do already have a mini fish and chip dish which is great for serving in the welcoming portion of an event while guests are mingling. Since we already have the chip fryer, the fish, and the excellent golden batter, why not just size up those mini canapes into a whole supper itself! Add in some mushy peas, some seasonal leaves, and our customers had an incredible Good Friday dinner to enjoy while keeping up with the day’s regular traditions.
We were happy to see our fish and chip suppers go down a treat, and we were delighted to be able to set everyone up for the rest of the Easter weekend! Perhaps it is something that we could look to do more often. If that is something that you may be interested in for your next event with us, then why not let the Hog Roast Earls team know today!
