Recently, we’ve had the privilege of collaborating with the PTA of a private high school, who are organising a spectacular send-off for the class of ’24. With a guest list totalling around 500, including staff, family, and students, we know that we’ll have our work cut out for us on the day. But if there’s one thing we thrive on, it’s rising to the occasion and exceeding expectations!
Working closely with Gillian, the mastermind behind the food arrangements, we’ve settled on a menu that caters to every palate and dietary requirement. Hog Roast Saffron Walden’s Alfresco Menu emerged as the perfect choice – combining affordability, flavour, style, and variety in one delicious spread.
At the heart of the meal is our trademark hog roast – succulent pulled pork served on gluten-free buns, accompanied by crackling, stuffing, and applesauce. And for our vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-intolerant guests, we’ll be offering grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs with flatbreads, sweet chilli sauce, and tzatziki dip.
To complement the main course, we’ll present a selection of vibrant salads, including heritage tomato and mozzarella salad, seasonal leaf salad, and coleslaw tossed in a zesty lemon mayonnaise. Each dining table will also feature a rustic bamboo board at the centre, adorned with Italian meats, cheeses, and breads – perfect for nibbling throughout the night.
Last but not least, dessert! With students casting their votes on which pud they’d like to see featured, it’s looking like profiteroles and homemade individual cheesecakes are set to steal the show!
